It was every bit as good as everyone has been talking about.

You aren’t an official campaign until a volunteer gets bit by a dog.
THANK YOU David for not giving up after that second house and helping us to get the vote out.
“I came [to a coffee] as a courtesy to a neighbor’s invitation, and left with civic pride—You are a breath of fresh air—Good Luck”

We recorded our 3 minute run-off candidate statement tonight. It was great to have the opportunity to talk about my priorities, perspectives and most importantly - what we are already doing to get it done!
The best part of my week was reading to a 5th grade class at my elementary school. I wasn’t sure that they would be interested in fairy tales, but one student assured me saying “it will make us feel young again!”
Check out this video that gives a taste of the world that these kids will enter in to.
It is our responsibility to prepare them accordingly.
I’m so humbled by the overwhelmingly positive response and support I’ve received. Thank you!
We’re advancing to the general election and it’s going to be a tough race. This week we will essentially press the restart button and start all over again. What got us through the primary will not be sufficient for the general and we look forward to running a good race to win!!
We don’t have much time and we have very real campaign needs and welcome your insight, ideas, and suggestions on how to get our message out. Please get involved and take a moment while you’re here to make an endorsement, host a coffee, contribute online, or fill out a volunteer form.
Thank you for visiting the site!
With just under 2,500 votes, we made it out of the primary and on to a run -off!

Thank you for your vote!
We wrapped up another weekend of campaigning. One of the highlights was when one gentleman told me he already voted, so I said Thank you and kept going. When I was down the street he yelled out, “Ms. Jo, I just checked my list and I voted for you.”
Prof. Garza’s journalism class is covering elections. One student journalist chose to cover our campaign and conducted outstanding, thorough and insightful work! Last week I got word that another journalist covering our campaign may be part of the most recent layoffs. I hope that this new class will transform the industry and won’t have to rely on a double major.
Best wishes to Chris who left this weekend to serve in the Peace Corps!! Check out his adventures at www.olinabroad.blogspot.com
