Here are some recent quotes from the Leader and Channel 6

A Vision & Direction for Burbank

,

City Council Candidate Kimberly Jo

“Over the last six years Burbank has cut our budget approximately 17%. Further cuts will hit muscle, tendons and bone; the impact will be felt deeply. Tightening our belt is a correct response and appropriate reaction, but not a sufficient solution…

The biggest crisis facing our nation and Burbank residents is job loss. I will work tirelessly to identify emerging technology, renewable energy, and bio-health and science companies to expand the breadth and depth of our economic base.”

Candidates Address Fiscal Gloom

“Today Burbank is at a turning point and it’s going to take all of us to keep Burbank moving in the right direction… I will work to support small businesses, which are the backbone of our economy, as well as large industries that continue to create new jobs opportunities for the local workforce.”

3 Minute Spot on Channel 6

I taped my candidate speech.  It will air Wednesday on Burbank Channel 6, and play repeatedly until the Primary Election on February 24th.  I will try to post the clip as soon as I receive my copy for those of you who don’t get Channel 6… maybe.   I can’t remember ever being that nervous.  We had 2 shots; I blew the first but nailed the second.

By the way, Paul - when are you going to send me that picture?

The next televised event is the Candidate’s Forum hosted by the League of Women Voters of Glendale/Burbank at City Hall on Jan 22nd beginning at 7pm.  I will post more info as it becomes available.

Campaign Headquarters

We found a campaign headquarters and are ready to go!  Only a couple days into the new year and things are continuing to take shape.  This past weekend my brother, sister, and I cleaned and painted.  It took us all night and when we finally finished, they agreed that they would jump me if I lose.  (…Sadly, I don’t think they were kidding =)

***THANK YOU Joe Terranova for finding a space that met all our requirements! You’re the best!!***
